Who Senring is
Senring, trading as SENRING Electronics Co., Limited, is a Shenzhen-based manufacturer of electrical slip rings, fibre optic rotary joints (FORJs) and rotary unions. It is a mid-sized specialist: the company says it has about 200 staff, a factory of more than 3,000 m² and over 20 machining and moulding machines, covering injection moulding, CNC turning and milling in-house.
Engineers usually meet Senring when they need a catalogue capsule or through-bore ring at a competitive price, or a combined electrical and pneumatic rotary joint for an automation cell. Its catalogue tables are detailed on dimensions and circuit counts, though many electrical and environmental ratings sit in downloadable manuals rather than on the web pages.
History and ownership
Senring’s About page describes a young company that grew through partnerships with large electronics and automation customers:
- 2009 or 2010: Senring is founded. The About text gives 2009, while its own timeline lists 2010, so we show both.
- 2012: the company reports cooperation with Yaskawa and Foxconn.
- 2013: its R&D centre moves to Songgang in Shenzhen.
- 2014: ISO 9001:2008 certification.
- 2015: a fibre optic rotary joint patent (ZL 2016 2 0055159.8 is the number it quotes) and projects it lists with Siemens and several research institutes.
- 2016: a subminiature slip ring patent (ZL 2016 2 0695427.2) and a move to a new factory in November.
The company also says its products carry CE certification. Its website does not name a parent company, so we treat it as an independent private business and have not stated anything further about ownership.
Product portfolio
Our series records summarise what Senring publishes for its main lines:
- H Series through-hole slip rings: metal-housed rings with multi-point brushes, bores from 3 mm to 300 mm and outer diameters from 16 mm to 430 mm, up to 144 circuits in the standard table (300 optional), 0–20 A per circuit and up to 600 V AC/DC.
- M Series capsule slip rings: from the 6.5 mm M065 to the 30 mm M300, with up to 56 circuits on the M250 and power rings up to 30 A on the larger sizes.
- Industrial bus slip rings: BM solid-shaft and BH through-bore models with up to 168 circuits and 690 V, listed for PROFIBUS, CANbus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, RS-232/422/485, USB and 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet.
- FO Series fibre optic rotary joints: 1 to 8 channels, single-mode (9/125 µm) or multimode (50/125 or 62.5/125 µm), rated for over 100 million revolutions, with hybrid versions carrying up to 96 electrical circuits.
- Electrical-pneumatic rotary unions: 1 to 24 passages with M5 to G1/2” ports, sold alone or combined with 2 to 120 electrical circuits, for air, vacuum, water, steam and oils.
Senring also lists PCB (pancake) slip rings and custom designs.
Technologies and standards
Senring’s selling points are breadth of standard sizes, multi-point brush contacts, metal housings on its through-hole range and combined electrical, fibre and pneumatic assemblies. Note that the web pages publish few speed, IP or temperature ratings, and there are small inconsistencies (for example the M300 current is shown as both 10–30 A and 30/50 A). Ask for the model manual and confirm ratings in writing before you design around a part. Our guide on how to specify a slip ring lists the figures to confirm, and the rotary union and fibre optic rotary joint pages explain those types.
Industries served
Senring lists aerospace, alternative energy, defence, factory automation, food and beverage, heavy equipment, machine tools, marine, medical, metal production, oil and gas, plastic moulding and semiconductor equipment. Typical uses include robot tool changers, rotary indexing tables, packaging machines and camera systems. See slip rings for robotics and slip rings for packaging.
Points to check when comparing Senring slip rings
Because Senring’s web pages publish dimensions and circuit counts but few speed, IP or temperature figures, ask for the model manual and compare the full rating set: current per circuit, voltage, speed, IP rating, temperature range and life. Check that the current quoted is per circuit, and that signal circuits are not loaded beyond their rating when mixed with power. For rotary unions, confirm pressure and speed for each passage and the medium.
Global and UK presence
Senring sells from Shenzhen and lists two distributors, UPEL in Voronezh, Russia, and IMB Electric in Istanbul, Turkey. It does not list a UK office or UK distributor, so UK buyers deal with the factory directly by phone, fax or the online enquiry form.
What to send when specifying a Senring slip ring
Give the number of power and signal circuits with current and voltage for each, any bus protocol or Ethernet speed, fibre count and mode, bore and outer diameter limits, speed, environment (temperature, IP, vibration), expected life, and any air or fluid passages with pressure. For a replacement, quote the full Senring model code.
Specify Motion is independent of Senring. Our engineers can help source Senring products or propose equivalents from our supply network on published figures; see find a replacement or the slip rings hub.

Frequently asked questions
What is Senring's website?
Senring's official website is senring.com. It lists through-hole, capsule, PCB, industrial bus and custom slip rings, fibre optic rotary joints, pneumatic and hydraulic rotary unions, an About page with company history and certifications, and a contact page with its Shenzhen address, phone and fax numbers and two overseas distributors.
What is Senring's phone number?
Senring publishes +86 755 2971 7812 as its main telephone number and +86 755 3325 0183 as its fax number. Its contact page also lists sales email addresses, but they are hidden behind an obfuscation script, so we have not reproduced them; the website enquiry form is the alternative.
Where is Senring based?
Senring's contact page gives its address as No. 36 Xingda Road, Yanchuan Community, Yanluo Street, Bao'an District, Shenzhen, China. The company says it runs a factory of more than 3,000 m² there, with an R&D centre that moved to Songgang in 2013.
Who owns Senring?
Senring trades as SENRING Electronics Co., Limited. Its website does not name a parent company or shareholders, and we have found no published group ownership, so it appears to operate as an independent private manufacturer. We have not stated ownership beyond what it publishes.
Does Senring have a UK office or distributor?
Senring's contact page lists no UK office or UK distributor. It names distributors in Russia (UPEL, Voronezh) and Turkey (IMB Electric, Istanbul) only. UK engineers usually contact the Shenzhen team directly by phone or through the website enquiry form.
