Tubular linear motor

LinMot P01-23 (incl. P01-23 HP)

LinMot's smallest 23 mm tubular direct-drive linear motor. A slider full of magnets moves through a short stator, so the motor needs no ball screw or belt. The HP variants give more force.

Notes on this data

Peak 138 N and sustained 46 N are for P01-23 HP from linmot.com. Standard P01-23 is 86.4 N peak / 30 N sustained. The 7.3 m/s speed is the eCatalog figure for PS01-23x80F-HP; the P01-23x160 datasheet gives 3.9 m/s at 72 VDC. IP65 comes from the P01-23x160 datasheet (Edition 24) for the motor; stator connectors are IP67. linmot.com describes stainless-steel P01 versions as up to IP69. Datasheets also give imperial figures; the metric values are used here.

Specify Motion is not affiliated with NTI AG. LinMot and P01-23 (incl. P01-23 HP) are used only to identify the product. Comparisons use published figures; always confirm against the current datasheet.

Alternatives that meet or exceed these figures

Engineers often come to us with a LinMot part number and leave with an alternative that is easier to source, quicker to deliver or a better fit for the machine. These 3 series from our supply network are the closest match on published figures.

Figures are the highest published for each series and are not always measured the same way. A higher figure is not automatically a better choice: mounting, duty cycle, feedback, connectors and approvals matter too. An engineer will check the fit against your application before recommending anything.
