Notes on this data

Only LPA-20 is published, with ratios 51, 81 and 101. Peak torque is 34/49/57 Nm and rated 6.5/16 (ratio 81)/16.9 Nm. Maximum speed is 88.2/55.6/44.6 rpm. Communication is CANopen (DS301/DS402) or EtherCAT. Encoders are 15-bit on the motor and 14-bit on the output, both absolute. The unit is for indoor use only at 0–40 °C; no IP rating is given.

Specify Motion is not affiliated with Harmonic Drive SE / Harmonic Drive LLC. Harmonic Drive and LPA low-profile actuator with integrated servo drive are used only to identify the product. Comparisons use published figures; always confirm against the current datasheet.

Alternatives that meet or exceed these figures

Engineers often come to us with a Harmonic Drive part number and leave with an alternative that is easier to source, quicker to deliver or a better fit for the machine. These 3 series from our supply network are the closest match on published figures.

Figures are the highest published for each series and are not always measured the same way. A higher figure is not automatically a better choice: mounting, duty cycle, feedback, connectors and approvals matter too. An engineer will check the fit against your application before recommending anything.
